KUALA LUMPUR | 41 BERANGAN

A little while ago we stayed at 41 Berangan in KL.
Great little “boutique” guest house in the heart of KL. Great service. Cute rooms. Good price….and best of all very local feel. The cool thing was our “garden” room – an old shipping container, transformed into a basic room with a bathroom. Great way to recycle them.
The bed was made of cardboard (with a mattress on top of course)….extremely comfy.

Definitely recommend it!!

MALAYSIA | NUMBERLESS ELEVATOR

At the Star Hill mall in Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur I noticed that the elevators don’t have floors – but rather “experiences” on each floor. I did find it initially confusing, however an interesting idea for a super luxury mall.

MALAYSIA | SUBWAY STATION SPONSORING

This past weekend, while riding the monorail in Kuala Lumpur, I could not help but notice that every station is sponsored by a company. The sponsoring company gets logo space on the monorail maps and also gets to “take over” the actual station. Talk about maximizing advertising revenue! – but it actually makes better sense for the advertiser as it ensures more impact!!
